Apiwap WhatsApp Setup
Connect your Apiwap instance to send automated customer messages and service alerts directly through your own linked WhatsApp account.
You need an active Apiwap account. Log in to Apiwap Console.

Create Instance & Scan QR Code
Apiwap runs by linking your standard or business WhatsApp account to their API gateway:
- Log in to the Apiwap Console.
- Add or select an active WhatsApp Instance.
- Scan the displayed QR code using Linked Devices on your phone's WhatsApp application to authorize the connection.

Obtain Instance ID & API Key
Under your linked instance details, copy the Instance ID (sometimes referenced as the phone identifier). Then, go to security or API settings to copy your profile's account API Key / Token.

Configure Settings in VillageConnect
Open your Admin Panel → Settings → Manage Notifications → Gateway Settings:
- Click the WhatsApp tab and enable WhatsApp.
- Set WhatsApp Provider to Apiwap.
- Paste your Apiwap API Key.
- Paste the Instance ID.
You are all set!
VillageConnect will now forward text notifications to your clients' WhatsApp using your Apiwap account.
