Generate an API Key Pair

In your DaliPay dashboard open API keys and generate a key pair. Each pair is tied to one environment, and the environment is decided purely by which keys you use:

• gw_pk_test_… / gw_sk_test_… — payments are simulated instantly, no prompt and no real money. Ideal for checking the setup.
• gw_pk_production_… / gw_sk_production_… — real prompts, real money.

Keep the Secret Key private — anyone holding the pair can initiate charges on your account. Revoke and regenerate it from the same page if it is ever exposed.

Configure Settings in VillageHub

Go to your Admin Panel → Settings → Payments. Select DaliPay (Tanzania) as the payment gateway and paste your Public Key and Secret Key.

Running multiple sites? You can also point an individual router at DaliPay (or its own keys) from the router's payment override on the router detail page.

Set the Webhook URL and Callback Secret

Unlike some gateways, DaliPay does not accept a callback address per payment. Copy the webhook URL shown on the VillageHub payment settings page into your DaliPay merchant Settings → Webhook URL. DaliPay then shows a callback secret next to it — paste that into the Callback Secret field in VillageHub so every confirmation's signature can be verified.

DaliPay does not retry a webhook that fails to deliver. VillageHub also polls DaliPay for the payment status, so a missed webhook still ends in the customer being connected.

Whitelist the VillageHub Server

If you turn on IP whitelisting in your DaliPay settings, DaliPay refuses every request from an address that is not on the list. Add the VillageHub server's public IP there — contact support for the current address — before taking payments.

Good to know: VillageHub detects the customer's network from their phone number and sends the matching provider. DaliPay collects in TZS only. The prompt works on both feature phones and smartphones.
